I knew I had issues with my transmission or transfer case. My mechanic, though recently retired, was 2.5 hours away when I talked to him about my problems and I told him I had to make an appointment with a local transmission shop. He asked if it were Certified Transmission in Liberty, which it was not. He highly-recommended I go to Certified Transmission. Not that he had done business with this branch but because of the technical bulletin's put out by the R&D department in Omaha. His last words were “ I know how you feel about your truck, they will be your best resource because they will know a transmission better than just a local transmission shop.” I called and made arrangements for the next day. Bobby was a great service adviser. He explained what my situation was. Though I did not like what he had to say, it was what it was, and this is where my mechanic said to go. After driving my truck for a few days, I am extremely happy with the results of my experience with this shop. I am as skeptical as a person can get when dealing with a shop outside of my trusted mechanic. Everything was a smooth process and I did not feel like they were trying to pressure me to do unnecessary work. I would recommend this shop to anyone with transmission or transfer case issues. I have to give kudos to Greg for giving me a ride to and from my home. That in itself was enough for me to go back because it was not like I lived just down the street. It was a wee bit far.
